In conjunction with the Hats & Fiber Exhibit in February, Barbara Tobias will teach a class in knitting.
It will be open to anyone interested in that craft: beginners who want to see whether this is for them; people who have knitted but are ready to move on to something a little more challenging like a sweater; people who are already expert but want to branch out to new techniques like lace or cabled socks or Aran designs.
The class will meet once a week for six weeks on Thursdays from 1 to 3 pm starting February 23 and running through March 29. Make-up sessions can be arranged if you have to miss a class.
The fee will be $50 per student, all of which will go to support the gallery. Materials will include yarn, needles, and patterns, depending on what you want to make. If you are a beginner, enough yarn and needles for a practice piece will be available at the first class. Please call the gallery if you would like to sign up. |
